People are shocked with surprise that the Act which came on statute book in year 2006 has not been publicised and people are still un-aware where to lodge their complaint against violation of food safety acts by greedy shopkeepers. Moreover, large number of restaurants are opening up in Delhi causing lot of pollution, noise, congestions and food quality is poor. There is every reason to believe that the Food Safety is a mere bookish term and is not translated on grounds. It may be that officers in this field are getting quick money from shopkeepers and restaurants. What is the remedy. Can you inform where to lodge complaint ?

Thanks Mr. Verma for your comment. Food Safety & Standards Act is one of the best legislation in the world, only thing is the best implementation of this Act and the awareness among all the stakeholders & the end consumer.
You can directly write to the food authorities for any complaints/suggestions etc. There are state FDAs who take care of the matters relating to a particular state/province and there is the Apex food authority where you can write: http://www.fssai.gov.in/Feedback.aspx
