Auriga Research Pvt Ltd has received provisional approval as a Certification Body for Voluntary Certification Scheme of IndiaGHP and IndiaHACCP. Auriga Research has been approved after fulfilling the process criteria authorizing it to provide IndiaGHP and IndiaHACCP certifications by the Quality Council of India (QCI). Further, Auriga Research is applying to obtain a formal NABCB accreditation for FSMS as per ISO/IEC 17021-1 as per provisions of the Scheme.
IndiaGHP and IndiaHACCP standards describe the requirements against which certification can be obtained under the IndiaGHP and IndiaHACCP Voluntary Certification Scheme for Food Safety operated by Quality Council of India (QCI). IndiaGHP and IndiaHACCP certifications can help the food business community to demonstrate the compliance to the international best practices for the production of safe & suitable food hence to ensure that they are globally acceptable.
Approval as a Certification Body authorizes Auriga Research to provide IndiaGHP and IndiaHACCP certification to those food manufacturers in the food industry who wish to be assured that their processes, systems and products are in compliance with global standards. The certification scheme for IndiaGHP and IndiaHACCP is based on globally accepted Codex Standards. The FSSAI is also encouraging the food industry to aim for IndiaHACCP standards though it has mandated hygienic and sanitary practices through its Licensing regulations.
Many countries have mandated Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) for high risk sectors like meat, fishery, dairy, etc. and developed countries also mandated Good Hygienic Practice (GHP) across the food sector. Auriga Research Pvt Ltd will provide these certifications to those in the food industry who wish to be in compliance with global standards without having to opt for the costly and time-consuming foreign certification. IndiaGHP and IndiaHACCP certificate schemes are accepted internationally as they are issued only by accredited bodies.
