Mother Dairy: No Disruption in Supply of Milk and Milk Products
Mother Dairy has taken adequate measures to ensure that there would be no disruption in supply of milk or other milk products. The company said that they are fully geared up to ensure that Delhi does not face any milk shortage. They have aligned their procurement network across locations to make requisite arrangements at all levels to ensure timely delivery with strict adherence to quality norms with full hygiene. They have also made alternative arrangements to address challenging situations due to Covid-19.
The company has also put in place strict protocols to minimise person-to person contact during milk collection. They are ensuring all safety during collection, processing and distribution. In order to maintain the requisite hygiene standards at all levels, Mother Dairy has advised its stakeholders on precautions they need to take as detailed by varied authorities. Whether it is procurement, processing, logistics and retail network, they are constantly monitoring operations to ensure supply chain is seamless and precautions are being taken for quality and hygiene. Mother Dairy sells more than 30 lakh litre of milk per day in Delhi NCR and operates around 850 milk booths in this region.
B L Agro Industries Set New Packaging Standards
As a major producer of edible oil, B L Agro Industries Ltd, has a vast portfolio of creative, light-weighted, safe, recyclable and affordable PET bottles for their iconic edible oil brands. They also have two-litre and five-litre bottles with a handle in a unique design. The advantages in using PET is that it is recyclable, offers light-weighting opportunities and largely reduces the amount of PET resin used. Based near Bareilly in UP the company runs one packaging unit and two refinery units. The family-owned company was founded in 1945, and today produces Bail Kolhu, a mustard oil that is the leading product in the eastern and northern parts of India due to the health benefits ascribed to it. They also produce food products and oil categories under their brand Nourish. The company has been packaging in PET since 1999 as they believe that a good user experience is important and that is why they went in for something unique like introducing two-litre and five-litre bottles with a handle. Today, B L Agro manages a vast variety of formats: bottles of 200ml, 500ml and one litre in American boxes, two- and five-litre bottles in wrap-around blanks, as well as 15-litre PET jars. They introduced the first PET bottle for edible oil with a handle and a triangular design which was a novelty and made it lightweight too.
FunFoods by Dr Oetker Launches Peanut Butter All Natural
Dr Oetker has expanded its peanut butter range under the FunFoods brand with the launch of Peanut Butter All Natural. Made from 100 per cent roasted peanuts, it contains 33 percent natural protein. It has been especially designed for fitness enthusiasts and health conscious consumers who go in for products that suit their active lifestyle. All Natural peanut butter has a new texture named Ground which consists of creamy peanut butter blended with tiny bits of peanuts.
The peanut butter is also a vegan product and contains no added sugar, salt, emulsifiers or preservatives. It is a rich source of Vitamins B3, B6 and E and natural antioxidants and contains MUFAs (monounsaturated fatty acids). The new peanut butter is available in two pack sizes with an appealing label design in green. FunFoods Peanut Butter All Natural is priced at Rs 159 for a mid-size pack and Rs 275 for a large pack. The peanut butter has been launched after a consumer study where key barriers like unknown taste, health and affordability were overcome.

Reliance Retail stores for grocery are likely to remain open longer wherever possible. The firm is likely to activate ordering from home and delivery for senior citizens. They will also activate order and pick-up from their store fronts, so that the consumers and store staff are not exposed. Reliance Retail is likely to ply vehicles with essential items in certain areas for sale to customers, at their doorsteps, during the complete lockdown. They have also assured consumers that the staff in their stores are adequately trained and protected with masks and are following a strict hygiene regimen.
