Gulabs Teams up with Reliance’s JioMart
Gulabs have partnered with Reliance JioMart, the new online grocery delivery service, which makes the snack maker one of the first merchants to do so. Customers will be able to order 10 varieties of lip-smacking sherbets through the online platform. This partnership is being seen as a significant milestone in bolstering the easy availability of Gulabs products for customers.
The sherbets available in such flavours as Rose, Pudina, Cinnamon Elaichi, Paan, Chilli Khus, Lemon Ginger, Saunf, Jeera, Lemon and Nannari are handcrafted. These concoctions are made with the help of 100-plus-year-old recipes that use genuine raw materials and do not have any essence or artificial flavours. The sherbets are packed in attractive eco-friendly packaging and special care has been taken to ensure freshness and shelf life.
Mondelez India launches Cadbury Chocobakes
Mondelez India has launched Cadbury Chocobakes, which are cookies filled up with the iconic chocolate. Cadbury Chocobakes Choc-filled Cookies is a result of the constant endeavour that Mondelez India undertakes to create and redefine categories. In India the company has a vision, which is specific to the biscuits category,and so they have introduced this delicious cookie with the iconic taste of Cadbury at its centre. Cadbury Chocobakes Choc-filled Cookies are priced at Rs 30 for a 75g pack and Rs 60 for a 150g pack.
Mondelez India aims to lead the future of snacking and the Cadbury Chocobakes Choc-filled Cookies will further strengthen their position in the fast-emerging choco-bakery segment and consolidate their foothold in the snacking market. The chocolate filled cookie is likely to deliver a unique experience to the consumer in the biscuit category, being a cross between chocolate and biscuit. It is also an attempt to offer biscuits in the premium category to match consumer expectations as it provides them with more choice and newer experiences.
Bonn Expands Premium Biscuits Portfolio
The latest to join the biscuit and cookies category is the Bonn Group which has expanded their biscuit portfolio with the launch of their cracker biscuit range in the states of Haryana, Punjab and Delhi NCR. The biscuit and cookies industry in India is growing at a CAGR of 10 percent since the last three years and so Bonn sees an opportunity to expand. The cracker biscuits have been launched under their premium Americana range in three flavours – Mexican Veggie Cracker, Multi-grain Cracker and Cheese Cracker. The crackers are available in three different packs – 120 grams, 66 grams and 90 grams packs worth Rs 25, Rs 10 and Rs 10, respectively.
Crackers, known for their crunchy texture, is the most popular biscuit flavour among youngsters and these premium biscuits are the ideal gift for people in this age group. Bonn’s top-shelf Americana range is poised at just the right spot in the market to take advantage as unlike bread and other bakery products, biscuits in India, are popular both in urban and rural demographics. The step is likely to increase sales revenues to Rs 1,000 crore by 2021.
Vijetha Supermarkets Plan to Grow to 100 Stores by 2022
Vijetha Supermarkets is among the biggest Food & Grocery retailers in Hyderabad and the State of Andhra Pradesh. Renaissance Mumbai launches Fratelli Fresh Wine Bar
Renaissance Mumbai has launched its new wine bar, Fratelli Fresh, which will offer a vast range of wines. The list of wines includes Chateau De Fontenelle, Bordeaux with ConsoletteD’Angelo, Beni di Batasiolo Gavi di Gavi, Cortese, with Spigola in Crosta di Pistachio, Domaine Hamelin Chablis, and Burgundy with Risotto Ai Frutti di Mare. These wines can be teamed with rich Italian delicacies which are served at the hotel. The wine bar is open between 4pm and 1:30am, and the restaurant is open from 7pm to 11:30am. The weekend lunch will be on offer between 12:30pm and 3pm.
Rajeev Bakshi Joins Ola’s Food Business
Rajeev Bakshi, well-known FMCG Executive, has joined Ola Foods as Board Advisor. Ola’s food business includes own brands offering khichdi, rice bowls and biryani in six cities.Bakshi has been Managing Director of METRO Cash & Carry India and has worked previously with PepsiCo and Cadbury.
Ola currently runs 36 kitchens across six cities and they feel they are still at an early part of their journey. They will innovate to build their portfolio and offer their products through differentiated distribution formats, both online and offline. Ola, with its food business, aims to build its own-food brands like its flagship khichdi experiment, and a range of brands across categories like rice bowls, biryani and health food etc. Ola has the opportunity to expand in the highly loved food brands and in a market that is actually under-served.
