Punjab Grill opens outlet at Kala Ghoda, Mumbai
Punjab Grill, the Punjabi cuisine chain, has opened its latest outlet at Kala Ghoda in Mumbai. Crab Curry, Tandoori Lobster, Jheenga Curry, Tariwali Machhi, Tawa Surmai, Mahi tikka and Tawa Scallops are some of the must have a cuisine in their menu. Punjab Grill’s USP is the authentic flavors of Punjabi cuisine and great quality. The restaurant chain maintains extremely high standards as every ingredient is sourced with extreme care and prepared using the traditional recipes.
The Kala Ghoda outlet will focus on traditional taste and flavors and food culture of North India. Swiggy to entering Coimbatore, Kochi
Food ordering and delivery platform Swiggy will foray into Coimbatore and Kochi this month as part of its efforts to strengthen its presence in the south. The company already has more than 25,000 restaurant partners across 13 cities in the country. Swiggy has a strong market presence in cities like Bengaluru, Chennai, and Hyderabad and the expansion will further firm up its position in southern India. In the last three months, Swiggy has also entered cities like Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, and Jaipur. Coimbatore and Kochi are some of the fastest growing Indian cities that have a thriving local culinary culture which Swiggy could take in their stride.
Ananda to invest Rs.10 Crore to open 150 outlets in Kanpur
Dairy products manufacturer Ananda plans to invest Rs.10 crore to open 150 stores in Kanpur by the financial year 2018-19. This is part of its commitment to invest Rs.500 crore in Uttar Pradesh. Ananda would also like to have a bigger market share in retail. So last month they announced the opening of 500 retail Company Owned Company Operated stores (COCO) outlets by the end of next fiscal in states like Delhi-NCR, Haryana, UP and Punjab. Ananda has already unveiled two COCO retail outlets in Kanpur in addition to the six already present in the city.
The company feels that there is a huge potential in the Kanpur market and they are certain that the city will play a huge role in our expansion plans for Uttar Pradesh. The company is looking to launch an average of 10 COCO stores on a monthly basis. Ananda is a Noida based company and has a current production capacity of over 12 lakh liters of milk a day. It sells over 50 products and has most of the dairy products on its portfolio, other than ice creams.
Tropicana Launches Innovative Juices
Tropicana, the leading juice company continues to evolve to meet consumer demand. The brand has now announced its newest juice offerings called Tropicana Kids and Tropicana Coco Blends. Tropicana Kids is available in three flavors Fruit Punch, Mixed Berry, and Watermelon. This is an all certified USDA Organic premium fruit juice drink with nutrition. Tropicana Kids is an excellent source of vitamin C and contains 45 percent real fruit juice mixed with filtered water. It has no added sweeteners or artificial flavors and the packaging features a clear panel.
Tropicana Coco Blends, on the other hand, is a tasty Tropicana juice drink available in two flavors Pineapple with Coconut Water and Peach Passion Fruit with Coconut Water. Tropicana Coco Blends contains juice with 10 percent coconut water without added sugar or flavors. Both juices will be available nationwide in early 2018 at select retailers and through online retailers in multi-and single-serve sizes. Tata Starbucks to Open 24 new stores in India
Tata Starbucks, a 50:50 joint venture between coffee store chain Starbucks and Tata Global Beverages, is opening 24 stores across cities in India. By the end of this fiscal, the total number of stores will increase to 115. Starbucks has found India to be the fastest growing market in the first five years of operations, since 2012. Tata Starbucks has improved over last year’s growth as profitability has improved.
The company has now launched their first store in Kolkata at Park Street. Two more stores in the city are likely to come up at South City mall and Acropolis mall. With the increase in the consumption of coffee in India, almost every player is witnessing a growth in their businesses. The company is evaluating the next city they will open their stores in. Tata Starbucks also introduced Teavana brand in India which currently operates 113 stores across seven cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Pune, Chennai, and Hyderabad. It has the maximum number of stores in Mumbai at 43, followed by Delhi.
Thirsty Beers Brings Two Delightful Brews for the Indian Market
Thirsty Beers is a new-age beer company established as recently as 2017. Driven by their emphasis on taste, passion and fine ingredients they have launched two delightful brews for the Indian market – HAPPY by Thirsty and Thirsty SIMONA.
HAPPY by Thirsty is a classic central European lager, specifically brewed to be uplifting, balanced and refreshing. The predominant hop, Herkules gives it a peppery or spicy bitterness with floral and citrus notes.
On the other hand, Thirsty SIMONA is a more traditional German Hefeweizen. Thirsty SIMONA beer will cost Rs.160 in Goa, in Delhi Rs.200, Mumbai and Pune Rs.299 and Bengaluru Rs.275 per pint. HAPPY by Thirsty Beers is available at select outlets in Delhi and Goa for Rs.170, and in Mumbai, Pune, and Bengaluru at Rs.250 per can.
