FSSAI Draft Notification on Amendment of Food Products Standards and Food Additives Regulations

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) with the approval of Central government in exercise of the powers under clause (e) of sub section (2) of section 92 with section 16 of the Food Safety and Standards Act 2006 have made certain amendments in Food Products Standards and Food Additives Regulations 2011. It has been published under sub section (1) of section 92 of the Act.

FSSAI has issued a notice to inform all the persons likely to be affected from the proposed amendment. It further specifies that the draft regulations should be taken into consideration after the expiry of the period of sixty days from the date on which the copies of the gazette notification are made available to the public.

Moreover, objections and suggestions sent before the expiry period will be considered by FSSAI. These regulations have been named as Food Safety and Standards (Food Products Standards and Food Additives) Regulations 2011.
