The apex body for Food Safety has directed a letter to all the Food Safety Commissioners and FSSAI notified laboratories elucidating the validity of FSSAI recognized Primary Food Testing Laboratories on 1st December 2021.
FSSAI has come up with a list of its recognized primary laboratories along with the validity of their NABL accreditations and scope of testing along with the contact details. The purpose is to carry out the analysis of food samples taken under the Food Safety and Standards Act 2006 and Rules and Regulations under it.
Notably, the recognition and validity of the mentioned laboratories should be governed by the guidelines or orders issued by FSSAI from time to time.
