FSSAI Schedules Quarterly Meeting for Sectors of Food Industry

FSSAI has decided to understand and resolve the concerns and issues of different sectors of the Food Industry by conducting meetings on a quarterly basis. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the regulatory concerns, various issues, orders and directions which affects the food industry sectors.

FBO MEET CALENDAR SCHEDULE

v. Nodal Officers shall hold quarterly meetings with FBOs of the respective sectors and keep a record of all such meetings and issues/concerns discussed during the meetings. Associated Divisions to nominate an officer of AD/DD level for each sector for collaborative coordination of the meetings as well as addressing concerns/issues raised during the meeting.
w. ED(CS) will chair one meeting of each sector in the period of December-March every year and one meeting with Nodal Officers of all the sectors to keep a track of the issues/concerns of each sector. The Nodal Officers shall duly inform ED(CS) and concerned senior officers regarding the schedule of their sectoral meetings well in advance.
x. The dates for quarterly meetings may be fixed in consultation with the associations of the specific sector.
