The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has officially withdrawn the order issued under Section 16(5) of the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006, regarding the disposal of Used Cooking Oil (UCO). The previous order, referenced as FSSAI Order No. RCD-18/1/2021-Regulatory-FSSAI-Part(2), dated 20th January 2022, has been rescinded immediately.
This decision has been made with the approval of the Competent Authority, under the powers granted under Section 16(5) of the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006. The withdrawal signifies that any directives or guidelines issued in the mentioned order are no longer in effect, and stakeholders should take note of this change.
