Question: I have applied online for FSSAI License on 23rd March 2015 at Delhi which takes approx. 2 months in processing. I am told by FSSAI Office that pending issuance of License, I can do my business. Can I sell my items in the pouches carrying only FSSAI Logo and without License Number. As pouch printing is costly and have to be printed in huge quantity, how to use unutilized pouches after 2 months when I get the license. Or should I wait for 2 months and then get the pouches print showing both FSSAI logo and .License No.
Answer: FSSAI has extended the date of compliance of FSSAI Logo and License number to 1st July 2015, which means that FBOs have to mention FSSAI Logo & License No. on the labels from July 1, 2015. Click here to read more on this.
