Through a notification dated 04 March 2020, the FSSAI has informed the public about the termination of the facility of filing FSSAI Registration applications through the Common Service Centre.
Through this notification the FSSAI has brought to the notice of all concerned public that the agreement signed between the FSSAI and the Common Service Centre e-Governance Services India Ltd ( CSC), which was set up to facilitate Food Business Operators in applying for Registration Certificates through Common Services Centres, will come to an end on 31 March, 2020.
In order to enable Food Business Operators to make online payment for License/ Registration fee, the FSSAI has made a provision in the online Food and Licensing Registration System (FLRS) with effect from 8 November, 2019. The FBOs can directly make online applications for FSSAI Registration Certificates by visiting the FLRS website with the URL https://foodlicensing.fssai.gov.in and submitting the requisite fee online.
FSSAI has through this notification also intimated all that it has already terminated the facility for filing of any new applications for Registration Certification through the Common Service Centres with effect from 01 March 2020. However, if the FBOs have already been granted the Registration Authority, against applications that have been filed prior to 01 March, 2020, then the CSC executives will provide the printouts of the Registration Certificates to those concerned FBOs.
