Naturell India launches RiteBite Max Protein Nutrition Bars
Naturell (India) Pvt Ltd the healthy lifestyle company which offers a wide range of guiltfree snacking has launched RiteBite nutrition barsin six flavours. RiteBite Max Protein are vegan bars rich with nuts, seeds, fruits and peanut butter. The Nuts and Seeds bar have a mix of natural ingredients like almonds, pumpkin seeds, flax seeds, watermelon seeds. The Fruits and Seeds Bar contains seeds and berries combination. The RiteBite Peanut Butter bar is an amalgamation of crunchy and salty bits of peanuts and dark chocolate.RiteBite Max Protein new flavours are Choco Delight, Yogurt Berry and Sports Bar.The Choco Delite Bar combines crunchy bits of almonds and cashews mixed with raisins. The Yogurt Berry bar combines cranberries and black currant with yoghurt and other delightful flavours. The Sports Bar is packed with the goodness of almonds, mocha and oats.
Tata Starbucks to Expand to Two New Cities
Tata Starbucks, a 50:50 joint venture between Tata Global Beverages and Starbucks Coffee of the US, believes that there is tremendous opportunity for growth in the Indian market. The company plans to expand its footprint to two new cities by the year end, taking the total count to 10.
Tata Starbucks operates in eight cities in India and they are in the early phase of growth as they have been in the Indian market for about six years only. The USP is to create a unique a great ‘Starbucks experience’. The company has 150 stores in the eight cities out of which 30 stores were opened in 2018. They also entered the new city Chandigarh. Tata Starbucksreflected a double-digit top-line growth of 30 percent due to growth in the existing store sales as also with expansion of stores.
Uber Eats to Target Small Town Consumers
Since the online food delivery market has become competitive Uber Eats is eyeing young professionals in metros and joint families in smaller towns to increase its footprint. Uber Eats came to India in 2017 and since then has managed to make inroads, as consumers have quickly adopted to its services especially millennials and joint families. The company is introducing several India-first features on its app like the veg-only recommendations and cash payments.
Uber Eats understands that there is a multi-combination trend in how people order food In India. Ordering food is not just limited to Friday nights or festivals but consumers also order food on a regular basis. While in Japan Uber Eats is popular among the elderly people in India the trend is not limited to any age demographics but has been adopted across all ages. Uber Eats is currently available in 38 citiesin India and since it entered later than its competitors, it has been hard-pressed to properly establish itself as a food delivery platform. However, Uber Eats’ business grewby 50 percent (month-on-month) in its first year of operations in India.
Milkbasket Acquires PSR Supply Chain
Milkbasket – India’s largest daily grocery delivery company, has acquired the Bengaluru based e-grocery store PSR Supply chain. Founded in 2015, the popular PSR Supply Chain ceased operations in June as Milkbasket has integrated the start-up’s offerings into its own portfolio. PSR Supply Chain was one of the largest and fastest-growing distribution channels for daily grocery needs in East Bengaluru. The company had established a network of 4000+ registered customers and the last reported annual turnover of the company was over Rs 2.5 crore.The acquisition of PSR Supply Chain will help Milkbasket strengthen its own customer base and offerings in Bengaluru. Milkbasket though growing phenomenally on its own, is on the lookout for strategic acquisitions to shorten learning in specific regions or technologies. Milkbasket had earlier acquired the Noida based Veggie India.
Ratnadeep Super Market Plans Expansion
Hyderabad-based food and grocery retailer Ratnadeep Super Market has entered the Bengaluru market by opening its first outlet in Indiranagar. The brand has ambitious expansion plans and hopes to open five more stores in Bengaluru at Koramangala, Whitefield, Mahadevpura, and HSR Layout.At present, Ratnadeep has 54 stores spread across Hyderabad and Secundrabad.
Ratnadeep has earmarked around Rs 75 crore to expand their network to 80 stores, which will be spread across Bengaluru and Tier II & III cities of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
The food and grocery retailer is planning to open 100 stores nationwide by the end of 2020. Over the next three years, they plan to open at least 500 stores across the country. Besides, it is also looking to venture into the affordable gourmet format, with a strong ROI-based model.
