Despite its popularity among the masses in India, the Mithai and Namkeen sector is yet to realise its full potential in terms of branding and outreach. From tech automation to revolutionary packaging techniques and machinery, quality raw materials and ingredients, different aspects of business operations within the industry were discussed to explore new ways to help this popular sector realise its potential.
The Federation of Sweets & Namkeen Manufacturers (FSNM), which is the apex body for the industry and represents that interest of more than 4,000 manufacturers and 200 associations, also emphasised on the need for self-regulation and adopting top of the line manufacturing practices to lend impetus to the sector’s growth.
