Havmor Introduces New Ice Cream Flavours
Havmor Ice Cream, which is made with fresh and pure milk, has introduced three new ice cream flavours – Fresh Jamun, Zafrani Zaika and Chocovita. These flavours will be available nationwide in scoops and family packs. Havmor is a leading pure milk ice cream brand in India and it is known for its innovative offerings and a wide range of ice cream flavours. Every season, it launches some enticing and distinctive offerings that have a very Indian twist. This season it has introduced these three indigenous and exciting flavours. Fresh Jamun is a fusion of fresh pulpy and tangy blackberries and will be a seasonal flavour. Zafrani Zaika, an innovative flavour and made from a blend of saffron and rich cream topped with almond, raisins, and chironji or charoli. Chocovita comprises a crispy dark chocolate wafer biscuit, and roasted cashews, blended with malt-flavoured ice cream.
CCI Approves Adani Wilmar Acquisition of Ruchi Soya
Any mergers and acquisitions that cross a certain threshold require the approval of the Competition Commissioner of India (CCI). CCI has found no appreciable adverse effect in the acquisition of Ruchi Soya by Adani Wilmar Ltd. Along with Adani Wilmar, Patanjali was in the fray to acquire Ruchi Soya which is on the verge of insolvency proceedings. Ruchi Soya has a total debt of about Rs.12, 000 crore. The company has many manufacturing plants and its leading brands include Nutrela, Mahakosh, Sunrich, Ruchi Star and Ruchi Gold. Adani Wilmar made an offer of Rs.6000 crores to Patanjali’s Rs.5700 crores and so became the highest bidder and have acquired Ruchi Soya.

Shubh Food Products started with a simple spice product asafoetida (Hing) and today the company has numerous private label products. Founder Gaurav Gambhir once delivered consignments to small food vendors himself but today runs a 10,000 sq. ft. factory and plant with over 55 full-time staff members. Mrs. Bectors Food Specialities Files IPO papers
Biscuit maker Mrs. Bectors Food Specialities has filed draft papers with SEBI to raise an estimated Rs.800 crore through an initial public offering (IPO). Mrs. Bectors Food manufactures and markets a range of products such as biscuits, breads, and buns under the flagship brand ‘Mrs. Bector’s Cremica’ and the ‘English Oven’ According to news reports Linus, Mabel, GW Confectionary Pte Ltd, GW Crown Pte Ltd and Anoop Bector will be offering stocks in the initial share sale. The company has decided to list their equity as it will enhance visibility and will also provide liquidity to its existing shareholders. IDFC Bank, Edelweiss Financial Services and IIFL Holdings will manage the company’s initial public offer (IPO). The equity shares will be listed on BSE and NSE.
Alteria Capital Invests in Raw Pressery
Alteria Capital has invested Rs 33.5 crore in organic cold-pressed juice and beverage maker, Raw Pressery. The investment includes both equity and venture debt from Alteria Capital. This is the first time Alteria has made an equity investment since it started the fund. Alteria Capital believes that Indian consumer brands, backed by venture capital are going to create massive outcomes in the medium to long-term. This has led them to invest in Raw Pressery especially as there is an increasing interest in the Indian consumer segment. Raw Pressery will use the new capital for expanding distribution domestically and internationally in the Middle East and South East Asia.
Renu Dalal launches a maiden cookbook, titled Modern Vegetarian Recipes
Renu Dalal, the daughter of the renowned chef, cookbook author and television presenter Tarla Dalal has launched her first cookbook, titled Modern Vegetarian Recipes on her mother’s birth anniversary. The book is divided into five sections, namely starters, salads, main course, desserts and basic recipes. Renu is widely-travelled, and that is another factor that fuelled her passion to create vegetarian options to cater to the modern palate. The recipes are a perfect fusion of eastern style and the western styles of cooking. The recipes have been created keeping in mind the diverse age group, which comprises kids and both young and older adults.

Coca-Cola Makes Leadership Changes
Coca-Cola has appointed Sundeep Bajoria as Vice President -South West Asia Operations and Chandrasekar Radhakrishnan as Vice President – Strategy and Insights. The changes have been made to enable India and South West Asia to lead growth for the beverage company. Coca-Cola believes that there are several opportunities in these regions which will require them to strengthen their portfolio so as to enable them to penetrate the markets.
