Parle G Enters Branded Wheat Flour Category
Parle Products has entered the branded wheat flour category with the launch of Parle G Chakki Atta. The leading biscuits and confectionery manufacturer has not just expanded its portfolio, but is aiming to capture both the rural and urban market in the wheat flour category. With their 100% wheat atta Parle espouses to deliver healthy and authentic atta. The distribution of the product has started in the northern and western parts of the country.
Parle G’s marketing strategy is to make use the Parle G goodwill so as to make inroads into the branded wheat flour category. They also mean to capitalise on the hygiene and convenience factors that have become important to consumers in the present pandemic environment. Consumers are switching to hygienically ground wheat flour instead of local chakki atta and Parle aims to tap into this market to take their chakki atta to the remotest households of the country. Presently the atta is being sold under 3 SKUs of 2 kg, 5kg and 10kgs.
Keventers Launches new ‘Ice Creamery’ Brand
Dairy brand, Keventers has launched a new ‘Ice Creamery’ brand in 6 exciting flavours. The company aims to expand its already solid presence in the dessert space across India by adding a new product range to its portfolio. The Company has its fingers on the pulse of the nation, as it knows exactly how to cater to the older generation as well as millennials and Gen Z. This is why there is something for everyone in the newly launched ‘Ice Creamery” flavours. The products retail for Rs 99 for a 100 ml cup and at Rs 329 for a 450 ml tub.
Tata Consumer products Launches Online-only Premium Coffee Brand
Tata Consumer Products Ltd (TCPL) has entered the premium roast and ground coffee segment with the launch of ‘Sonnets By Tata Coffee.’ This range consists of four microlots, limited edition coffees that are processed in a distinctive manner. The premium coffee brand aims to target those customers who are looking for a special coffee experience. London Taxi Restaurant Launch Food Delivery Start-up Incubator Program
Mumbai’s London Taxi restaurant has developed a cutting-edge Incubator Program for home delivery. The restaurant is opening its own kitchen to the invited entrepreneurs so they can realise life-long dreams of starting their very own food brands. This is the very first time that any restaurant has launched such an incubation programme. The aim is to support small businesses, promote entrepreneurship and minimise damages caused by the Covid-19 pandemic on the F&B business.

Cornitos Receives UK ‘Free from Food Award 2021’
Nacho brand Cornitos, has won UK’s ‘Free from Food Awards 2021’ that took place in May 2021. It is the only award for free from food and drink and is totally independent award where brand products are judged by the specialist judging panel. Cornitos received a Gold, a Silver, and two Bronze Awards out of a total of 27 categories for the award and each category had more than 10 finalists. It was Cornitos Tikka Masala that won the Gold Award in the ‘Vegan category’ that had more than 25 finalists. They received the Bronze Award in the ‘Best Labelling Category’. Cornitos Thai Sweet Chili Nachos Crisps won the Silver Award in ‘Almost Totally Free From’ category, which had more than 15 finalists. Cornitos Peri Peri Nachos Crisps also won Bronze Award in ‘Savoury Snacks and Crackers’ category that had 14 finalists. The company is seeing the awards as a morale booster boost and an assurance that the brand is on the right path. Hershey India commits $50,000 to Fight Covid
Hershey India has contributed $50,000 for providing relief to hospitals and to support Covid warriors. The company is also distributing one million products like Hershey’s Milkshake, Hershey’s Spreads, Hershey’s Syrup and Sofit Soya Milk to healthcare workers, police forces, frontline workers and the daily-wage community. The company has also provided 500 oxygen concentrators to the medical fraternity. It is also working with NGOs like
Hemkunt Foundation, KVN Foundation, GiveIndia SaveLife Foundation and hospitals to deliver more concentrators across the country.
